Crewe Lifestyle Centre Multi Sports Fun Day

Project Overview

An afternoon of inclusive sport became an opportunity to capture the people, friendships and personal stories behind a community event.

The event was organised by Dawn Clark of The Thursday Club Nantwich and Liz Bedson of Stroke Survivors, with support from Everybody Health & Leisure and Crewe Town Council.

The Stories Behind The Day

'An afternoon of inclusive sport created space for people to connect, share memories, and have their voices heard. We captured 15 conversations, alongside photographs and video, preserving the experiences and personalities behind the event.'

Who it was for

The day brought together people living with neurological conditions, including stroke, Parkinson’s and dementia, alongside adults with additional or complex needs, their supporters and local community groups.

Why it mattered

Getting people into one room opened doors to friendship, confidence and support networks, sparking shared memories from wedding days to past adventures.

What we created

15 recorded conversations, audiograms with voice and photos, videohighligts, and story summaries forming a lasting community Memory Mosaic.

Meet the people. Hear their stories.

Watch and listen to the conversations, memories and moments shared during the afternoon.

Olga

The collection includes Carole’s wedding memories, Paul’s recollections of curling in Scotland, Olga’s enthusiasm for ABBA, and Liz’s reflections on advocating for people who do not always feel seen.

Together, these stories create a record of both the event and the lives connected through it.

Care & Community Memory Banks

📍 “Together, we remember.”

Create a shared space where voices, photos, and stories from your community can live on — beautifully preserved and easy to share.

We partner with care homes, dementia groups, veteran charities, and health & wellbeing projects to celebrate lives and capture stories that might otherwise be lost.

Staff or volunteers can record conversations with residents or members. Each story is saved to a branded online Memory Bank and can be turned into a printed Flipbook for families and loved ones.

This isn’t just about stories — it’s about connection, dignity, and legacy.

Benefits:

✔️ Celebrate and honour residents’ lives

✔️ Strengthen bonds between staff, families & communities

✔️ Provide meaningful activities for wellbeing programmes

✔️ Demonstrate your organisation’s impact through stories

🎖 “This helps us celebrate our residents and show our impact.”

Turn your town, park, or heritage site into a living museum — where every location has a story to tell.

We help councils, schools, and community groups create interactive Memory Trails — story points placed around towns, parks, and heritage sites.
