Community Conversations helps groups, charities, councils, libraries, community centres, heritage organisations and local partnerships create space for meaningful conversation, shared memories and local voice.
At the heart of this offer is Every Natter Matters — a flexible conversation-led programme designed to help people share memories, stories and lived experiences in a relaxed, welcoming and purposeful way.
These projects are personally shaped and supported by The Community Story Hub CIC. We work with each organisation or community partner to understand the people involved, the purpose of the project and the stories they hope to capture. From there, we help design the right questions, themes and format, so each session feels natural, relevant and respectful.
Community Conversations can be used in many different ways. For some groups, it may be about reducing loneliness and helping people feel more connected. For others, it may be about capturing local history, recording memories of a place, supporting wellbeing, celebrating identity or creating an intergenerational project that brings different age groups together.
Every Natter Matters sessions can be light, social and informal, or they can form part of a larger funded project, heritage programme, memory trail, exhibition or community archive. The questions can be adapted around the needs of the group, whether that is ageing well, friendship, childhood memories, working life, local places, belonging, community change, confidence or personal experience.
The aim is always the same: to help people feel heard, valued and remembered.
Community Conversations can lead to audio stories, short films, written memories, public story pages, community exhibitions, QR memory trails, social history projects and impact reports. Some stories may be shared publicly with consent, while others may remain private within the group, family or organisation involved.
Saved does not always mean shared. Every story is handled with care, dignity and respect.
